Bullying Prevention Month
Throughout the month of October, students and staff at Eureka Elementary participated in a number of activities to promote bullying prevention.  Each week, the school had a different dress day to promote preventing bullying.  The dress days were:
October 4 Future Statesmen United Against Bullying Wear Blue and White
October 11 Team Up Against Bullying Wear Team Shirt
October 18 Put a Lid on Bullying Wear a Hat
October 23 National Unity Day: Unite Against Bullying Wear Orange
October 25 Pair Up Against Bullying Twin Day
October 31 We Boo Against Bullying Wear a Costume
The school also hung a banner in the hallway for students to sign to pledge to be bully free.  The students were reminded of the pledge they made every time they entered the building.
On October 23, 2019, which was designated National Unity Day, Eureka Elementary School students and staff wore orange and participated in a peaceful anti-bullying march and chant around the school.  The march gave students an opportunity to express the importance of promoting kindness, respect, inclusion, and acceptance to all.
